Test methods

Prev Next

Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance allows users to create, maintain, and update Test methods in Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Test methods.

Test methods can be populated with codes and descriptions coming from ISO methods, USP testing methods, or internal methods applied within the organization.

Methods are also printed in the Certificate of Analysis/Conformity generated by Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance.

Some test methods might be based on mathematical calculations that involve results from other tests already per-formed (for example, a test result calculation requires the pH value of the sample, measured in a previous test). Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance allows users to specify a Calculation formula in the Test methods form. The formula can be any mathematical formula where the value between @ is the result of an existing test.

Example

  • Method name: “Potency%”

  • Method description: “Potency conversion in percentage”

  • Calculation formula: “@Potency@/10*4”

Test methods can be optionally associated with tests in the Tests form to be used as default values and can be overwritten for each test in the test group lines.
