Advanced sub-batch inquiry

The Advanced sub-batch inquiry can be accessed by creating a mobile device menu item (Warehouse management > Setup > Mobile device > Mobile device menu items) with the Activity code set to Advanced sub-batch inquiry.

When accessing the advanced item inquiry on the mobile device, users can scan/manually enter the Sub batch in the Sub batch inquiry screen.

List layout

If the Use advanced inquiry layout parameter is set to No, the following information related to the selected sub-batch is displayed in the Advanced sub batch inquiry:

  • Sub batch

  • Batch number

  • Item number

  • Product name

  • Vendor batch number

  • Batch disposition code

  • Use code

  • Manufacturing date

  • Shelf advice date

  • Best before date

  • Expiration date

  • Destroy by date

  • Storage condition

  • Location

  • License plate

  • Physical inventory

  • Available physical

  • Physical reserved

The amount of information displayed on the screen can be updated by defining the Records per page information in the Mobile device menu items form.

The Advanced item inquiry for the parent item can be opened by clicking the correspondent Item button.

The Advanced batch inquiry for the parent batch can be opened by clicking the correspondent Batch button.

Grid layout

If the Use advanced inquiry layout parameter is set to Yes, an initial screen is displayed with the following sub-batch information:

  • Item number

  • Batch number

  • Info (product name)

  • Vendor batch number for the parent batch

  • Batch disposition code of the parent batch

  • Use code

  • Manufacturing date

  • Shelf advice date

  • Best before date

  • Expiration date

  • Destroy by date

  • Storage condition

  • Location where on hand is stored

  • License plate where on hand is stored (if applicable)

  • Physical on-hand inventory for the sub-batch

  • Reserved on-hand inventory for the sub-batch

  • Available on-hand inventory for the sub-batch

It is possible to link this screen with other inquiries by leveraging the standard detour functionality (for example, to access the related item, batch, location, or license plate inquiry with a single click).

When users confirm the information, the on-hand information is displayed in a grid layout. Each box contains the following fields:

  • Key identifier: Sub batch number

  • Location: Location where on-hand is stored

  • License plate: License plate where on-hand is stored (if applicable)

  • Item number: parent item for the scanned sub-batch

  • Info: Product name of the item

  • Batch number: Parent batch available for the sub-batch

  • Batch number: Parent batch available for the sub-batch on the location/license plate

  • Physical: Physical inventory available for the sub-batch on the location/license plate

  • Reserved: Physical reserved inventory for the sub-batch on the location/license plate

  • Available: Available physical inventory for the sub-batch on the location/license plate

It is possible to promote and highlight the Expiration date and Batch disposition code in the advanced sub batch inquiry by configuring the Mobile device steps form.
