The Advanced batch inquiry can be accessed by creating a mobile device menu item (Warehouse management > Setup > Mobile device > Mobile device menu items) with the Activity code set to Advanced batch inquiry.
When accessing the advanced batch inquiry on the mobile device, users can scan/manually enter the Batch number/Sub batch in the Batch inquiry screen (if a sub-batch number is entered, the system displays the information of its parent batch).

If the Use advanced inquiry layout parameter is set to No, the following information related to the selected batch is displayed in the Advanced batch inquiry:

Vendor batch number
Batch disposition code

The amount of information displayed on the screen can be updated by defining the Records per page information in the Mobile device menu items form.
The Advanced item inquiry for the parent item can be opened by clicking the correspondent Item button.
The Advanced sub-batch inquiry for a child sub-batch can be opened by clicking the correspondent Sub batch button.

If the Use advanced inquiry layout parameter is set to Yes, an initial screen is displayed with the following batch information:

When users confirm the information, the on-hand information is displayed in a grid layout. Each box contains the following fields:
Key identifier (Box title): Location for batch managed items, Sub batch number for sub-batch managed items.
Location: Location where on hand is stored.
Item number: parent item for the batch.
Sub batch: child Sub batch available for the batch (only for sub-batch managed items).
Physical: Physical inventory available for the batch/sub-batch in the location.
Reserved: Physical reserved inventory for the batch/sub-batch in the location.
Available: Available physical inventory for the batch/sub-batch in the location.
Users can view the same information as a list by clicking on one of the boxes and accessing the Inventory details screen. It is possible to link this screen with other inquiries by leveraging the standard detour functionality (for example, to access the related item, location, or sub-batch inquiry with a single click).
It is possible to promote and highlight the Expiration date and Batch disposition code in the advanced batch inquiry by configuring the Mobile device steps form.
