Prev Next

The Advanced item inquiry can be accessed by creating a mobile device menu item (Warehouse management > Setup > Mobile device > Mobile device menu items) with the Activity code set to Advanced item inquiry.

When accessing the advanced item inquiry on the mobile device, users can scan/manually enter the Item number in the Item inquiry screen.

List layout

If the Use advanced inquiry layout parameter is set to No,  the following information related to the selected item is displayed in the Advanced item inquiry:

  • Item number

  • Product name

  • Active storage condition

  • On-hand inventory by location:

    • Location

    • Physical inventory

    • Available physical

    • Physical reserved

  • Handling instructions

The amount of information displayed on the screen can be updated by defining the Records per page information in the Mobile device menu items form.

Grid layout

If the Use advanced inquiry layout parameter is set to Yes, an initial screen is displayed with the following item information:

  • Item number

  • Info

  • Storage condition

  • Handling type

  • Handling instruction

  • Statement

When users confirm the information, the on-hand information is displayed in a grid layout. Each box contains the following fields:

  • Key identifier (Box title): Location where the on hand is stored

  • Physical: Physical inventory of the item in the location

  • Reserved: Physical reserved inventory of the item in the location

  • Picked: Physical picked inventory of the item in the location

  • Available: Available physical inventory of the item in the location

Users can view the same information as a list by clicking on one of the boxes and accessing the Inventory details screen. It is possible to link this screen with other inquiries by leveraging the standard detour functionality (for example, to access the related location inquiry with a single click).
