You can register transport task information.

You can:

  • Enter notes for a transport task.
  • View or add transport task attachments (file, image, video, audio)

This order note can give any relevant information on the transport task. Usually, you do not change the order notes in the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app. However, you can enter or change an order note. Internal notes: You can enter any transport task note for internal purposes. For example, explain the specific activities that are done or enter remarks on the condition of the transported item. Customer-related note: You can enter a note as expressed by the customer where you delivered or picked up items. The customer-related note is synchronized with the work order header Invoice note in D365 F&SCM. When you save a note, it is synchronized to the related work order header notes in D365 F&SCM. To view the work order notes in D365 F&SCM, on the Work order page, select a work order line, and click Additional notes, Header notes. Note: If you are working offline, a saved note is not synchronized with the work order header notes in D365 F&SCM until you are back online. Procedure 1. On the Transport Booking page, open the General tab. 2. Change or enter the desired notes. 3. Tap the floating action button > Save. Note: On a Windows device or browser, on the taskbar, click Save. View or add transport attachments View or add transport attachments You can view the existing attachments for a transport task or add attachments to a transport task. You can add attachments of type: File Picture Video Audio When you save an attachment: It is uploaded to SharePoint. An attachment is added to the related work order line in D365 F&SCM. This attachment is of type URL and its URL refers to the attachment as stored in SharePoint. An attachment entry is added to the Attachments page of the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app. Note: If you are working offline, the attachment is not synchronized with D365 F&SCM until you are back online. In D365 F&SCM, you can add attachments to a work order. These attachments are shown in the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app. Note: Only attachments of type URL are supported by the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app. Procedure 1. On the Transport Booking page, open the Attachments tab. 2. To add an attachment, on the attachments page, tap the Create record [+] button > Note. 3. Enter a title and description. 4. Subtask: Add a file. 5. Tap the Add a file [paperclip] button. 6. Browse for and tap the desired file. 7. Tap Add note. 8. Subtask: Add a picture. 9. Tap the Add a picture [camera] button. 10. Take the picture. 11. Tap the Accept [v] button. 12. Tap Add note. 13. Subtask: Add a video. 14. Tap the Add a video [video] button. 15. Record the video. 16. Tap the Accept [v] button. 17. Tap Add note. 18. Subtask: Add audio. 19. Tap the Add audio [microphone] button. 20. Record the audio. 21. Tap OK. 22. Tap Add note. 23. Close the Attachments page (tap Go Back [ Report 'gate closed' Report 'gate closed' Sometimes you cannot deliver or pick up the items for a transport task. For example, the site gate is closed and no one is available to open it. In this case, you can report 'Gate Closed' for the transport task. As a result, the transport task is completed automatically. You do not need to manually mark the delivery or pickup items as 'Skipped'. If you report a transport task as 'Gate Closed': In the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app: For all items to deliver or all items to pick up the status is set to 'Skipped'. The transport task is moved to 'Inactive Transport Bookings'. In D365 F&SCM, the related work order line is set to 'Completed'. Note: If you are working offline, the work order line is only updated until you are back online. Procedure 1. Report 'gate closed'

Sometimes you cannot deliver or pick up the items for a transport task. For example, the site gate is closed and no one is available to open it.

In this case, you can report 'Gate Closed' for the transport task. As a result, the transport task is completed automatically. You do not need to manually mark the delivery or pickup items as 'Skipped'.

If you report a transport task as 'Gate Closed':

  • In the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app:
    • For all items to deliver or all items to pick up the status is set to 'Skipped'.
    • The transport task is moved to 'Inactive Transport Bookings'.
  • In D365 F&SCM, the related work order line is set to 'Completed'. Note: If you are working offline, the work order line is only updated until you are back online.
