Use this flow to create a value add work order and link it to a specific project. You can do this manually if the project already exists. Make sure the project group is set to 'maintenance'.

After creating the work order and posting the hour and item journals, you can view them in the project FastTab by selecting the item or hour journals. Procedure 1. Go to Project management and accounting > Projects > All projects. 2. In the list, find and select the desired record. 3. In the list, click the link in the selected row. 4. On the Action Pane, click Manage. 5. Click Item task. 6. Click Work order. 7. In the Work order name field, type a value. 8. In the Business object field, enter or select a value. Note: possible to also filter by the fixed asset number 9. In the Work order template ID field, enter or select a value. Click New. 6. Click Lines. 7. Click New. 8. In the list, mark the selected row. 9. In the Worker field, enter or select a value. 10. In the Start time field, enter a time. 11. In the End time field, enter a time. 12. Click Save. 13. Close the page. Because site is mandatory in the product dimension, set up default order settings in advance to auto-populate the price, site, and warehouse. Procedure 1. Go to Work order project planning > Work orders > All work orders. 2. In the list, find and select the desired record. 3. Click Journals. Note: on the work order lines tab 4. Click Item. 5. In the list, mark the selected row. 6. Click Lines. 7. In the list, mark the selected row. 8. In the Item number field, enter or select a value. Note: The product should have default order settings which will auto-populate the site and warehouse. If there are no default order settings then the site and warehouse must be filled in manually on the product dimension tab 9. Click Save. 10. Close the page. Change the work order status to closed Change the work order status to closed After the item and hour journals have been added and posted. You must change the status of the work order. In this case we will change the status to closed. However, the status can be different from closed according to the process of the business. The status chosen is important as it will be one of the criteria's that you are able to filter on when you want to transfer the value add work order. Also, it is important to take into consideration the sequence of moving from one status to another. Therefore, you should consider configuring the status group of the work order tasks beforehand. Procedure 1. Go to Work order project planning > Work orders > All work orders. 2. Open Work order number column filter. Note: enter a filter value 3. In the list, click the link in the selected row. 4. Click Update line. Note: on the work order lines 5. Click Completed. 6. Click Update line. 7. Click Closed. Note: Depending on the status group configuration you might not be able to go from created to closed immediately as you might need to complete the work order first and then it can be closed 8. Close the page. End End Post hour journal Post hour journal Post the previously created hour journal to register labor costs on the work order. Procedure 1. Go to Work order project planning > Work orders > All work orders. 2. In the list, find and select the desired record. 3. Click Journals. 4. Click Hour. 5. Highlight the journal that needs posting and click Lines. 6. Click Post. 7. Click OK.
