When you deliver or pick up items at a customer site, you can also pick up previously delivered items. Even if the pickup was not scheduled in advance, you can pick up these items. For example, if the customer requests it. To initiate an unscheduled pickup, use a pickup request.
You can add items to a pickup request in several ways:
When you have registered all items for the unscheduled pickup, send the pickup request to D365 F&SCM. As a result, a Return journal is created in Rental order management. Also, a pickup transport task is created and assigned to you. To pick up the items of the pickup request, do the pickup transport task in the usual way in the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app.

You can only create a pickup request if your Device Status is 'Connected'.
