In the Checklist, you can find the work to be done for the work order task.

In D365 F&SCM, for a work order line, a checklist can be defined. Usually, the checklist is added automatically based on the used work order template. A checklist instructs the field service engineer on the work to be done. If in D365 F&SCM a checklist is defined for the work order line, it is shown in the Rental Mobile Operations - Field service app on the Checklist page.

For each task in the checklist, set the result. You can set these results:

  • Passed: The checklist task gave the desired result.
  • Failed: The checklist task gave an undesired result.
  • Mark as skipped: The checklist task is skipped.

When a checklist task is completed (passed, failed, or skipped), the task result is synchronized to the checklist of the related work order line in D365 F&SCM. Note: If you are working offline, the result of a checklist task is not synchronized until you are back online.

Standard procedure

1. On the Booking page, open the Checklist tab.

Note: The Checklist section shows up to five tasks. If there are more, tap See more to view all tasks.

2. Do the checklist tasks and set the status of the checklist tasks accordingly.

If a checklist task is:

  • Done successfully, select the task and tap Passed.
  • Done but it failed or if you could not do a task, select the task and tap Failed.
  • Not done because there is no need to do it, select the task and tap Mark as Skipped.

Note:

  • On a mobile phone, tap the overflow menu [...] button of the checklist task, and tap the desired status.
  • You can mark several selected checklist tasks as skipped at once. Select the desired checklist tasks and, on the Checklist section header, tap Mark As Skipped. Note: On a mobile phone, on the Checklist section header, tap the overflow menu [...] button, and tap Select. In the list select the desired tasks. Again, on the Checklist section header, tap the overflow menu button and tap Mark As Skipped.

3. For each checklist task, you can enter notes as desired.
Double-tap a checklist task and fill in the Note field.

Notes

  • You can also set a checklist task result on the Work Order Checklist page. To do so, double-tap (tablet or Windows device) or tap (mobile phone) a checklist task and select the desired result.
  • Several field service engineers can work on the same work order task. As a result, tasks on the checklist can be done by different field service engineers. When a task is completed (failed, passed, or skipped), the task result is also shown for the other field service engineers working on the work order task. Note: If you are working offline, the result of a checklist task is not synchronized until you are back online.
