You can use a value add work order to increase a fixed asset's acquisition value. The value is added only to the current posting layer and is based on costs captured in a work order.

For example, modifications made in a workshop after purchasing an object can be added to its value.

The value can be added using either a cost price or a sales price. Rental Management also supports value additions for assets that are not yet acquired.

You can configure a minimum value requirement in the work order parameters to qualify the value transfer.

You must create a fixed asset value add journal in advance. Set the journal type to 'Post to fixed asset' and select the 'Value transfer' checkbox.

Projects and work orders are synchronized in Rental Management. Creating a work order from a project links them, and journals for items and hours appear in both the project and the work order.
