To open the page, go to: Business objects > Business objects > Asset availability. Initially, the page shows no data. Steps: Select a site Select one or more warehouses Set a transaction time. This defaults to the current date and time Click the New button or use the Find the product option to add rental types Click Refresh data to load results You can view the following sections: Rental types: Overview of availability by color-coded status Asset availability: Detailed availability per status and rental type Asset availability – extra quantity: Assets on return journals or transfer orders From the action tab, you can open related pages: Business objects: Displays all objects with availability transactions Asset availability transactions: Shows all transactions. Click Rental transaction or Transaction origin for details Business object availability: Opens the availability page for the selected rental type Procedure 1. Go to Business objects > Business objects > Asset availability. 2. In the Site field, enter or select a value. 3. In the Warehouse field, enter or select a value. Note: Multiple warehouses can be selected. 4. In the Transaction time field, enter a date and time. 5. Click New. 6. In the list, mark the selected row. 7. In the Rental type field, enter or select a value. 8. Click Refresh data. 9. Click Business objects. 10. Close the page. 11. Click Asset availability transactions. 12. Close the page. 13. Click Business object availability. 14. Close the page. Check asset availability transactions Check asset availability transactions You can view all asset availability transactions. You can also use a separate feature to view all transactions for all rental items. This works like the Asset availability page but without filters. Procedure 1. Go to Business objects > Inquiries > Asset availability transactions. 2. In the list, find and select the desired record. 3. Click Rental transactions. 4. Close the page. 5. Click Transaction origin. 6. Close the page. Manually change the asset availability status Manually change the asset availability status You can manually change the asset availability status if needed. You can only change to statuses marked as "Allow manual change = Yes" in the asset status setup. When changing to a lower-priority status, the business object status does not update automatically. After the change, go to the Business object asset availability transaction page and update the end date/time of the active transaction to a value at least one second before the start of the new transaction. Procedure 1. Go to Business objects > Business objects > All business objects. 2. In the list, find and select the desired business object 3. On the Action Pane, click Business object. 4. Click Change availability status to open the drop dialog. 5. In the Rental asset status field, enter or select a value. 6. In the Start date/time field, enter a date and time. 7. In the End date/time field, enter a date and time. 8. In the Warehouse field, enter or select a value. 9. Click Change. End End

The asset availability functionality provides an overview of the availability of all assets based on the status setup.

To open the page, go to: Business objects > Business objects > Asset availability.
