What’s new

New or changed features in Release 10.0.49.24 (September 2026) - PLM Integration for Engineering Change Management.

1. Map inventory dimension fields in PLM attribute mapping

When you map BOM lines from PLM into D365 F&SCM, the integration needs an inventory dimension that includes the site, warehouse, and, for versioned products, the version. Before this release, this dimension combination often did not exist for version-controlled products. Mapping then failed, and you had to create and re-map dimensions manually for each new product version.

The integration now resolves the required inventory dimension for version-controlled products during attribute mapping. This removes the manual re-mapping effort and keeps the process scalable as you add more product versions.

Key capabilities:

  • The integration maps the site, warehouse, and version dimensions for version-controlled products automatically.

  • Products without a version dimension continue to map the site and warehouse dimensions as before.

  • You no longer need to re-map dimensions manually when you add new product versions.

2. Increased character length for engineering attribute values

Engineering attribute values were cut off at 1,000 characters in the staging journal. Long values, such as ECO header notes from the PDM system, were truncated in D365 F&SCM. The limit is now increased to 1,999 characters, the maximum for a Text-type engineering attribute in D365 F&SCM.

Key capabilities:

  • You can map engineering attribute values up to 1,999-characters.

  • The staging journal retains full note content, such as ECO header notes.

3. Business Integration Solutions platform uptake

Product Engineering now runs on BIS platform version 10.0.49.74. This uptake keeps the product aligned with the latest BIS platform release. You benefit from the newest platform fixes, stability improvements, and compatibility updates.

Key capabilities:

  • Product Engineering runs on BIS platform version 10.0.49.74.

  • The updated BIS platform is included in this release. You do not need to change any configuration.

4. .NET migration for on-premises integration libraries

The on-premises integration (BIS Windows Services) now runs on .NET Framework 4.7.2, which is supported for all customers. The upcoming deprecation of older libraries, such as Microsoft.ServiceBus.dll, does not affect ODBC integration. The migration also keeps Service Bus-based messaging on a supported connection.

Key capabilities:

  • BIS Windows Services run on .NET Framework 4.7.2.

  • The deprecation of older libraries, such as Microsoft.ServiceBus.dll, does not affect ODBC integration.

  • Service Bus-based messaging remains supported.

Staging warnings for attribute values do not show target item or attribute

Staging journal warnings for attribute values now show the item and attribute they relate to. You can trace which lines are incorrect, even in large structures, and find errors that were previously lost among non-specific warnings.

Help text on the new parameter "Translation update strategy" needs to be adjusted

The help text for the Translation update strategy field on the PLM systems page now describes the No and Yes settings correctly.

233937

Release automation - Release automation setup not included in PLM project export

The PLM integration project export now includes the release automation setup. The setup is retained when you migrate the project between environments.
