Send part to distribution target in PTC Windchill
PTC Windchill task

If you have created a new part in PTC Windchill, send it to a distribution target. So, D365 FO can take the part data from this location for further processing in D365 FO.

Note:  The steps and user interface can differ in your PTC Windchill version. This topic describes the manual procedure. For other ways to send part data to distribution targets, consult your PTC Windchill partner.


Standard procedure

 

1. Log in to PTC Windchill.
2. Browse to the part which needs to be sent to D365 FO.
3. Click Actions > click Send To Distribution Target.

4. Click Next.

5. You can check if the correct distribution targets are associated (In this example the item is only associated with distribution target 19) > click Send.
