Associate distribution target to part in PTC Windchill	Engineering	Before you send data to a distribution target, make sure the applicable distribution target is associated with the part. A distribution target is a combination of a location and formatting rules to which PTC Windchill data is sent. D365 FO takes the PTC Windchill data from this location for further processing in D365 FO. You can associate a distribution target with an item. By doing so you are able to use this distribution target to send data of the item to external systems. Note: The steps and user interface can differ in your PTC Windchill version. Audit change notice in PTC Windchill.	Engineering	You can audit a change notice in PTC Windchill. By doing so you approve the sending of the parts of the change notice to the distribution target. By doing so, you indicate in the workflow that the required changes from the change notice are applied and ready for review. Create change notice in PTC Windchill	Engineering	You can create a change notice to manage the changes to be applied to parts. In this example, one part is revised within a change notice. However, multiple parts could be changed within a change notice and also any other changes could be covered by a change notice. Create distribution target	Automation	Set up a distribution target in PTC Windchill. A distribution target is a location to which PTC Windchill data is sent. The D365 FO integration takes the PTC Windchill data from this location for further processing in D365 FO. Associate the created distribution target to the parts which should be sent during their lifetime to this distribution target.
Review change notice in PTC Windchill	Engineering	You can review changes made to a part by the instructions of a change notice. By doing so you approve the changes applied by the engineer. Send part to distribution target in PTC Windchill	Engineering	If you have created a new part in PTC Windchill, send it to a distribution target. Set up preference manager	Automation	Set up these preferences in the PTC Windchill Preference manager: Enforce changes Defines whether Windchill ESI renderers throw an exception if they receive a remote call procedure request for an object that has not changed since it was last published. The files used in the integration to D365 FO contain the complete new truth of a part and not just the last changes. Therefore, throwing an exception for the request of unchanged data is not required. Publish reference documents Determines whether or not ESI services returns Reference documents information in the ESI response. This preference assumes significance only when documents are considered for publication. To be able to send the referenced document links to D365 FO, enable this option.
