Work orders electronic signature

Prev Next

The possibility of enforcing users to insert an electronic signature upon work orders state’s update allows for increasing traceability of the maintenance processes and represents additional compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Life Sciences Enterprise Asset Management introduces a new Signature required parameter in Asset management > Setup > Work orders > Lifecycle states form. By configuring this parameter, users can define which work order state’s updates require users to insert a valid electronic signature (for example, work order closure).

Example

Execute the following steps to configure electronic signature upon closure of breakdown work orders:

  1. Go to Asset management > Setup > Work orders > Lifecycle states and enable the Signature required parameter for the Closed state.

  2. Assign the Closed state to a lifecycle model (Asset management > Setup > Work orders > Lifecycle models).

  3. Assign the lifecycle model to the Breakdown work order type (Asset management > Setup > Work orders > Work order types).

When users try to update the work order state to Closed for a work order with Breakdown type, the system will request them to enter a valid electronic signature password.

Note

The electronic signature leverages Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management standards, enhanced by STAEDEAN Life Sciences features available in the Life Sciences Supply Chain Management module:
