Warehouse works for dispensing

Prev Next

Upon dispensing order completion (dispensing order generated from a reference order), users must release the order to the warehouse by clicking the Release to warehouse button from the Dispensing orders form to generate the wave and then the work to move target sub-batches from the dispensing area to the destination location (e.g., production input location).

The system can be configured to automatically process the raw material picking work after dispensing (i.e., dispensing order generated from a batch order) by enabling the Automatically process work after dispensing parameter (Inventory management > Setup > Inventory and warehouse management parameters > Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Tab) and configuring the Work setup form (Inventory management > Setup > Inventory and warehouse management parameters > Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Tab).

The work is automatically executed if the following conditions are satisfied:

  • Automatically process work after dispensing is enabled.

  • The Work order type is Raw material picking work.

  • The pick and put locations of the work have been defined as a valid location pair in the Work setup form.

  • The pick location is selected as Output location in the resource group assigned to the resource related to the dispensing booth where the operation has been executed.

The work is executed by picking the target sub-batches generated for the dispensing order line, linked to the formula line via the Lot ID.

The User ID of the automatically executed work is set to the Default work user ID defined in the Warehouse management parameters (Warehouse management > Setup > Warehouse management parameters).
