Unpick for shipment via mobile device

Prev Next

The unpick feature in Life Sciences Warehouse Management simplifies shipment unpicking using mobile devices. Users can unpick quantities after picking work is closed, but before the shipment is confirmed and shipped. The process lets users scan the license plate, enter the quantity to unpick, assign the quantity to a license plate, print a license plate label, and put the material away to a location.

To achieve this, mobile device menu items must be set up in the Mobile device menu items form as follows:

  • Mode: Work

  • Use existing work: No

  • Work creation process:

    • Reduce picked quantity for sales for sales order shipment, or

    • Reduce picked quantity for transfer for transfer order shipment

  • Generate license plate:

    • Yes, to generate a new license plate number based on number sequence, or

    • No, to manually scan/ enter the license plate number

  • Print LP Label: set to Yes to print a license plate label

The printer, label layout, and number of copies are configured in the Document routing form (Warehouse management > Setup > Document routing > Document routing). Enable Print for LP for the relevant Work order type: Sales orders when the Work creation process is Reduce picked quantity for sales, or Transfer issue when it is Reduce picked quantity for transfer.

The put-away location is defined in the Location directives form (Warehouse management > Setup > Location directives) if the Work order type is Inventory movement.

Note

The current unpick function supports batch-managed items or items without tracking dimensions only when the license plate contains a single item.
