The split work function in Life Sciences Warehouse Management helps streamline shipment picking on mobile devices. After a license plate is picked, the system can split the work either automatically or optionally (that is, prompting users to decide whether to split it). This is especially useful when there is no fixed unit conversion between the license plate and the inventory unit, and it reduces manual work for warehouse operators.
To achieve this, mobile device menu items must be setup in the Mobile device menu items form as follows:
Mode: Work
Use existing work: Yes
Directed by: User directed
Allow splitting of work: Yes
Split work by license plate quantity: Automatic for automatic split or Optional for optional split
With this setup, warehouse work can be created per item or per batch for the full quantity, and then split during picking based on the license plate quantity.
