Authorized users can configure test variables by navigating to Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Test variables. These test variables are connected to Outcomes, which establish the criteria for passing or failing qualitative tests (Option test type). For example, a “Color” variable might designate “Yellow” as a fail outcome and “White” as a pass outcome.
Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance enables users to define a text in the Specification field for a Test variable, which can be printed in reports such as the Certificate of Analysis to define acceptance criteria for the selected variable.
Translations can be set for Specifications and Outcomes descriptions.
