Test types available in D365 F&SCM are Option, Fraction, and Integer. The test type determines the type of results managed in the test and the type of values that make the test pass or fail.
For the definition of more complex test result criteria, STAEDEAN Life Sciences provides a test type called Criterion. It allows defining criteria through configurable mathematical conditions at different steps.
An example of the Criterion test is the dissolution. The dissolved amount is measured at different stages and evaluated against the defined criteria per each stage. If the measurement does not fulfill the stage criteria, the sample is reanalyzed at the following stage.
For a test of type Criterion, users can define:
Levels available for the test (for example, Level 1, Level 2).
The number of results required for each level (for example, six results in Level 1, 12 results in Level 2).
The number of possible exceptions that can be accepted for each level. If exceptions are allowed, some of the results can differ from specifications and will not affect the overall test result.
Test specifications associated with each level (based on preconfigured mathematical functions).
Steps
Criterion tests are set up as follows:
Go to Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Test criteria.
Click Steps and enter the functions for the calculation of each level.
After completing the criterion configuration, the user needs to:
Create a test of type Criterion (for example, “Dissolution”) in Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Tests;
Add the test and its criterion to a test group line in Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Test groups.
This functionality is integrated with Microsoft Quick result entry form, allowing users to enter criterion test results through the updated interface.
