Life Sciences Warehouse Management allows splitting an already existing sub-batch via mobile device by creating a new sub-batch number to guarantee the sub-batch integrity.
To use this feature, create a mobile device menu item (Warehouse management > Setup > Mobile device > Mobile device menu items), in the Activity code field, select Split sub batch, and assign it to mobile device menus (Warehouse management > Setup > Mobile device > Mobile device menu). Authorized users can access the menu item in the Warehouse Management app and split a sub-batch, which triggers the generation of an inventory transfer journal to facilitate the transfer of quantity from the original sub-batch to the new one.
Note
The journal name to be used for the inventory transfer must be defined in the Split sub batch field of the Inventory and Warehouse management parameters form, Journals tab.
In addition, the user can print an inventory label for the new sub-batch if the Print label option is enabled in the Mobile device menu item.
Note
The label layout is based on the existing setup of the warehouse’s document routing layout if the Work order type is Purchase order.
