The following restrictions have been added to the shelf-life dates for batches and sub-batches:
The Manufacturing date must be earlier than the Shelf advice date
The Manufacturing date must be earlier than the Best before date
The Manufacturing date must be earlier than the Expiration date
The Manufacturing date must be earlier than the Destroy by date
The Best before date must be earlier than or equal to the Expiration date.
The controls listed above are triggered whenever a user manually updates the batch/sub-batch dates (for example, by using the Reset shelf life dates feature) or dates are automatically updated by the system.
Users can specify if manual modifications to the shelf-life dates for a batch or sub-batch should be secured via electronic signature by enabling the Signature required parameter for the Update shelf life dates for batches and Update shelf life dates for sub batches requirements in the Electronic signature requirements form (Organization administration > Setup > Electronic signature > Electronic signature requirements).
