Life Sciences Supply Chain Management allows controlling whether the material expiration date can be equal to the shelf-advice date though the Shelf life period equal to Shelf advice period parameter in the Inventory and warehouse management parameters form (Inventory management > Setup > Inventory and warehouse management parameters > General tab).
If the parameter is enabled, users can:
Set the Shelf life period in days to the same value as the Shelf advice period in days in the Released product details form (Product information management > Products > Released products > Released product details > Manage inventory FastTab).
Set the Expiration date for batches/sub-batches to the same value as the Shelf advice date.
Users are anyway prevented from setting a shorter shelf-life period than the shelf-advice period.
