Within Life Sciences Supply Chain Management, cautionary statements can be defined to represent the investigational purpose of a new drug or to state the intention of a shipment. For example, an investigational new drug intended for human use must bear a label with a specific statement such as “Caution: New Drug – Limited by Federal (or the United States) law to investigational use”.
The cautionary statements can be defined for the following entities:
For batches, by filling in the Cautionary statement field in the Batches form (Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Tracking dimensions > Batches).
For sub-batches, by filling in the Cautionary statement field in the Sub batches form (Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Tracking dimensions > Sub batches).
For sales orders, by filling in the Cautionary statement field in the Delivery FastTab of the Sales order form, Header view (Sales and marketing > Sales orders > All sales orders > Sales order or Accounts receivable > Orders > Sales orders > All sales orders > Sales order).
For transfer orders, by filling in the Cautionary statement field in the Delivery tab of the Transfer orders form (Inventory management > Inbound orders > Transfer orders or Inventory management > Outbound orders > Transfer orders).
The cautionary statement information can be printed on product labels or shipping labels by selecting the Cautionary statement value in the Document routing layouts form (Warehouse management > Setup > Document routing > Document routing layouts).
