Report 'gate closed'

Sometimes you cannot deliver or pick up the items for a transport task. For example, the site gate is closed and no one is available to open it.

In this case, you can report 'Gate Closed' for the transport task. As a result, the transport task is completed automatically. You do not need to manually mark the delivery or pickup items as 'Skipped'.

If you report a transport task as 'Gate Closed':

  • In the Rental Mobile Operations - Transportation app:

    • For all items to deliver or all items to pick up the status is set to 'Skipped'.

    • The transport task is moved to 'Inactive Transport Bookings'.

  • In D365 F&SCM, the related work order line is set to 'Completed'. 

    Note

    If you are working offline, the work order line is only updated until you are back online.

Steps

  1. On the Transport Bookings page, tap the floating action button > Gate Closed.

    Note

    On a Windows device or browser, on the taskbar, click Gate Closed.
