You can perform an AI inspection to detect damage on an asset. You take pictures of the asset and send them to the AI damage detection agent. The agent returns the damages it found, with a severity, a summary and a recommendation.
An AI inspection that you start from the asset is not connected to a work order. If damage is found, you can create a work order to have the asset repaired.
Note
To connect the AI inspection to the work order task you are working on, start the AI inspection from the booking. For more information, see Perform AI inspection from work order task.

On the Booking page, open the Asset Information tab.
On the Asset Information tab, tap the asset name.
On the Asset page, open the AI Inspection tab.

The pictures are stored in SharePoint. For each picture, D365 F&SCM adds a URL-type attachment to the related AI inspection. This attachment links to the picture in SharePoint.
