When you work on a work order task, you can perform an AI inspection to detect damage on the work order task asset. For example, when you do maintenance on an asset. You take pictures of the asset and send them to the AI damage detection agent. The agent returns the damages it found, with a severity, a summary, and a recommendation.
The AI inspection is created on the asset and is automatically connected to the current work order task.
Note
Only an AI inspection that you start from the work order task is linked to it. If you do not want this, start the AI inspection from the asset. For more information, see Perform AI inspection from asset.
Steps
On the Booking page, tap the floating action button > Create AI Inspection.
A new AI inspection is created for the asset of the work order task. The Work Order ID field is filled in with the work order of the booking. The New AI Inspection page opens.
Note
On a Windows device or browser, on the taskbar, click Create AI Inspection.
On the New AI Inspection page, in the Name field, enter a name for the AI inspection, and tap Save.
Note
On save, the AI inspection is created in D365 F&SCM, in Business objects > AI inspection > AI inspection. The ID, as assigned in D365 F&SCM, is automatically updated in the ID field.
Add pictures of the asset.
You can add a picture for each side of the asset: Front, Back, Left, Right, Top, and Bottom. Add a picture for each side that you want to have inspected.
To add a picture, tap Upload an image or Take a photo.
Note
You can only add pictures after the AI inspection is saved.
The options to add a picture depend on your device. Also the naming can be different.
When all desired pictures are added, in the Send To AI field, select Yes.
The pictures are sent to the AI damage detection agent. When the agent has processed the pictures, the results are shown.
Note
After you send the AI inspection to the AI damage detection agent, you cannot change it anymore.
The AI assessment can take some time, for example, depending on the number of pictures uploaded. You can use Refresh to see if the AI assessment results are available.
The pictures are stored in SharePoint. For each picture, D365 F&SCM adds a URL-type attachment to the related AI inspection. This attachment links to the picture in SharePoint.
Each detected damage is added as AI inspection line to the related AI inspection in D365 F&SCM.
Subtask: Review the AI inspection results.
On the General tab, view the Severity, Recommendation and Summary.
Open the Damages tab.
The damages found are compared with the damages of the latest processed AI inspection of the asset. This AI inspection is shown in the Compared Against AI Inspection column of the AI inspection list.
The New Damages section shows the damages with status reason New.
The All Damages section shows all damages found.
For each damage, the Name, Damage Type, Confidence (%), Status Reason, User Remark and Reference Image are shown. The Reference Image is the picture on which the damage was found.
The Status Reason is set by the AI damage detection agent. You cannot change it.
Options are:New: The damage was not found in the compared AI inspection.
Existing: The same damage was already found in the compared AI inspection.
You can give your assessment of the damage as reported by AI damage detection agent. So, how do you rate the quality and accuracy of the AI result?
Tap the damage. In the User Remark field, select a value, tap Save and tap Go Back [<].
Options are:Excellent: The AI result is fully correct.
Acceptable: The AI result is correct enough.
Manageable: The AI result is partly correct.
Wrong: The AI result is not correct.
User Created (Missed By AI): The damage was not found by the AI damage detection agent, but added by a user.
None: No assessment is given. This is the default value.
Note
The AI results are generated automatically. Always check the damages on the asset itself.
Close the AI Inspection page (tap Go Back [<]).
Notes
The AI inspection is also shown on the AI Inspection tab of the asset. For more information, see View asset information.
Because the AI inspection is connected to the work order of the booking, you cannot create another work order from this AI inspection.
