With data quality policy change management, you can manage changes on your data quality policies and all related components. This includes all data quality policy details and components, like configurable lookups, web service configurations, data patterns, or duplicate checks.
Activate data quality policy change management in the Data quality studio parameters.

Add data quality policy to change management |
Data quality administrator |
If change management is activated in the Data quality studio parameters, you can add data quality policies to change management. So, change management is only applicable to the data quality policies that you added to change management. If you add a data quality policy to change management, it is automatically checked out to make changes. To add the current data quality policy setup to change management as the first data quality policy change set, check in the data quality policy. As a result, a change set file is created and added to the folder as defined in the Data quality studio parameters. |
Check out data quality policy |
Data quality administrator |
If change management is active, you must check out a data quality policy to make changes to the data quality policy or its components. You check out a data quality policy in an environment. Each user in this environment can make changes to the checked-out data quality policy. If a data quality policy is checked out, it cannot be checked out in another environment. You can only check out the latest data quality policy change set. If you check out a data quality policy and the current change set is not the latest change set, you can choose to first get the latest change set. If you do not get the latest change set, the data quality policy is not checked out. |
Change data quality policy or related components |
Data quality administrator |
If a data quality policy is checked out, you can make the required changes to the data quality policy or to the related components. You can, for example, edit a validation rule or an enrichment rule, or activate the data quality policy version. |
Check in data quality policy |
Data quality administrator |
If change management is active and a data quality policy is checked out to make changes, check in the data quality policy to make the changes generally available for other environments. As a result, the changes to the data quality policy and related components are stored as a new data quality policy change set. The data quality policy change set is stored as a file in the file storage folder as defined in the Data quality studio parameters. |
Undo data quality policy changes |
Data quality administrator |
If the current environment does not have the most recent data quality policy change set, you can get the latest one. This replaces the current change set in the environment with the latest one. If you have checked out a data quality policy and made changes, you can undo these changes by selecting Get latest. This also undoes the check-out of the data quality policy. |
