Set up production equipment as a resource. Fill in certain fields for the program to recognize a resource as a piece of equipment.
Steps
In the search box, enter Resources, and then choose the related link.
On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New to create a new resource.
In the No. field, enter a number to identify the resource.
In the Type field, choose Machine.
In the Machine Type field, indicate whether the equipment is used in batch or package orders.
In the Capacity UOM field, enter the unit of measure code for the unit by which the equipment's capacity is measured.
In the Equipment Capacity field, enter the equipment capacity. Enter this value in terms of the capacity unit of measure.
Fill in the other fields on the resource card.
