If routings are used in production, link them to the pieces of equipment assigned to a production BOM. When a production order is scheduled to a piece of equipment, the program assigns the routing linked to that piece of equipment to the production order.
The following steps describe how to assign routing information to a package BOM's assigned equipment. The same procedure applies to formulas, item processes, and co-product/by-product processes. For simplicity, only a package BOM is described in detail.
Steps
In the search box, enter Package BOMs, and then choose the related link.
Open the relevant package BOM card. On the Versions FastTab, select the package BOM version that will have routings and choose Edit Version. The Package BOM Version page appears.
On the Equipment FastTab, select the line for the piece of equipment you want to link to a routing.
In the Routing No. field, enter the routing you want to link to the piece of equipment.
