The activities required when handling items in a given warehouse location are determined by how the location is configured. These activities centre around the movement of items between a location's defined bins. Common activities are picking items to be included on shipments or consumed in production, and putting away items received from a purchase order or outputted during production. You can also create and process additional bin movements not associated with a particular business process.
The following table describes a sequence of activities, with links to the topics that describe them. These activities are listed in the order in which they are generally performed.
