Assign items to fixed production bins

After setting up your bins, designate fixed production bins by assigning items to them. During production reporting, an item with a fixed production bin is consumed directly from that bin rather than from a replenishment area's defined inbound bin.

Steps

  1. In the search box, enter Locations, and then choose the related link.

  2. Select the location where you want to assign items to fixed production bins. On the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.

  3. On the Navigate tab, in the Location group, choose Item Fixed Production Bins.

  4. On the Item Fixed Production Bins page, fill in the fields.

  5. Repeat the procedure for each item you want to assign to a fixed production bin.

Note

You cannot assign an item to several fixed production bins within the same location.
