Create package BOMs

Careful setup of the package BOM master data is required to work correctly with the system.

Steps

  1. In the search box, enter Package BOMs, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New to open an empty package BOM card.

    The top part of the package BOM card is the package BOM header, and the bottom part of the card contains the package BOM versions.

    Data entered on the package BOM header applies to the whole package BOM. Enter the package BOM's production components on the package BOM version. Every package BOM must have at least one version.

  3. In the No. field, enter the appropriate package BOM number, which identifies the BOM uniquely. Anywhere Mobility Solutions combination of numbers and letters can be used.

  4. In the Description field, enter a description for the package BOM.

  5. On the Versions FastTab, choose New Version. The Package BOM Version page appears.

    The Package BOM Version page contains the package BOM lines on which you enter the data for the items to be processed and other production BOMs. You can also use package BOM lines to enter necessary text.

  6. Fill in the fields.

  7. When you are done, change the Status field to Certified.
