When working with long item processes or making slight changes between versions, it is useful to copy an existing version of an item process into a new version or into an existing version. Existing information on the lines is overwritten in the destination version.
When you use the Copy Item Process Version function, a list of versions to select from appears.
Steps
In the search box, enter Item Processes, and then choose the related link.
Select the item process for which you will copy versions.
If you want to create a new version, follow the procedure for how to create new versions. Fill in the new version number before you copy. If you want to copy to an existing version, verify that this version can be overwritten and make sure the Status field is not set to Certified.
On the item process version card, on the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Copy Item Process Version.
On the Prod. BOM Version List page, select a version and choose OK.
The lines of the selected version are copied into the current version, where you can further edit them.
Change the Status field to Certified.
