Resize an item process

Prev Next

You can resize an item process. This is particularly useful when you have assigned a piece of equipment to the item process and want the batch size to match the equipment's capacity.

Steps

  1. In the search box, enter Item Processes, and then choose the related link.

  2. Open the relevant item process card. On the Versions FastTab, select the item process version you want to resize and choose Edit Version. The Item Process Version page appears.

The Item Process Batch Size fact box displays the item process's input and output batch size quantities.

  3. Choose the batch size quantity you want to modify.

  4. On the Resize Batch page, enter the new batch size and choose Yes.

When the new size is entered, the program automatically recalculates the other batch size quantity by looking at the yield percentages defined for each component. The defined quantities for these components are adjusted to account for the new batch size while maintaining the yield percentages.
