This process explains how to dispose of bulk business objects. The disposal process for bulk objects differs from that of serialized objects.

Bulk business objects are not linked to a specific fixed asset. Instead, they are linked to child fixed assets when used on a rental order.

You must use the bulk fixed asset proposal to dispose of child fixed assets. This Rental Management feature creates a journal for each child asset with the correct amount until the full quantity is reached. The child fixed assets are selected based on the first-in, first-out inventory logic. Procedure 1. Go to Business objects > Journals > Fixed assets to inventory. 2. Click New. 3. Click Lines. 4. Click Bulk fixed asset proposal to open the drop dialog. 5. In the Item number field, enter or select a value. 6. In the Site field, enter or select a value. 7. In the Warehouse field, enter or select a value. 8. In the Quantity field, enter a number. Note: You can choose the complete number of bulk items available and they will assigned to a child fixed asset according to FIFO 9. Click Create. 10. Click Post. 11. Click OK. 12. Close the page. Parent fixed asset disposal Parent fixed asset disposal After disposing of all child fixed assets, you can dispose of the parent fixed asset using the standard fixed asset disposal journal. You can record the disposal as a sale or scrap transaction. Procedure 1. Go to Fixed assets > Journal entries > Fixed assets journal. 2. Click New. 3. In the list, mark the selected row. 4. In the Name field, enter or select a value. 5. Click Lines. 6. In the list, mark the selected row. 7. In the Transaction type field, select an option. Note: Choose ''disposal - sales'' or ''disposal - scrap'' 8. In the Account field, specify the desired values. 9. In the Credit field, enter a number. 10. Click Save. 11. Click Post. 12.
