You can change a rental order if you need to add extra lines.

You can add rental items, sales items, or services to the rental order.

For rentals, you can add:

  • Serialized rental items. Use a quantity of one per rental order line.
  • Bulk rental items. You can use multiple quantities per line.
  • Service items. For example, you can add a KIT.

You must use rental orders with the line type Rental.

For sales, you can add:

  • Service items.
  • Serialized sales items. Use a quantity of one per rental order line.
  • Bulk sales items. You can use multiple quantities per line.

You must use rental orders with the line type Sales/Purchase. This applies, for example, when you sell used equipment, consumables, or charge for services such as transport or damage fees.

Rental orders can contain rental items, sales items, services, or a combination.

Note: An on-rent date, expected off-rent date, and invoice profile are required. For sales and service items, this information does not affect pricing or invoicing.

Note: On the rental line editor shows an overview of the selected rental order line with its mandatory and optional supplementary rental items or sales items. You can include- or exclude the supplementary items. Mandatory items are automatically included which you cannot undo. You can also change the Rental gross amount and the Rental discount % on the Rental line editor. 8. In the list, find and select the desired supplementary item. 9. Select the Include check box and select or de-select the supplementary item. 10. Click OK. 11. Click OK. Click Add line on the Rental order lines section. 4. In the Item number field on the rental order line, enter or select a value. In the list, find and select the desired rental order. 3. On the Action Pane, click Rent. 4. Click Rental order confirmation. Note: You can view the rental order confirmation document, to do so, on the Rental order page, on the Action pane, on the Rental tab, in the Journals group, click Rental order confirmation. 5. Click OK. 6. Click OK.
