Assign work order template

Work orders are an integral part of the out and inbound processes of rental orders. It is then essential that work orders are always linked to rental order header or line. Linking the work order templates can be done by manually assigning the work order template or having a default template be assigned. The following workflow describes how to assign a work order template to a rental order and its lines and where to populate the default values.

This provides more control over how templates are applied. Procedure 1. Go to Rental order management > Rental orders > All rental orders. 2. In the list, click the rental order link in the selected row. 3. Expand the Line details section. 4. Click the Rental tab. 5. In the Work order template ID field, enter or select a value. 6. Click Save. Add default order settings (Work order template) Add default order settings (Work order template) You can add default order settings. In default order settings you can for example set up default location information (site and warehouse), default settings like items sales tax group, or default work order template id for rental and sub-rental items. Go to Product information management > Products > Released products. 2. In the list, find and select the desired rental item. 3. On the Action Pane, click Manage inventory. 4. Click Default order settings. 5. Click Edit. 6. In the Site field, enter or select a value. 7. In the Warehouse field, enter or select a value. 8. In the Item sales tax group field, enter or select a value. 9. In the Work order template ID field, enter or select a value. 10. Click Save. This makes the template available for all lines in the order. Procedure 1. Go to Rental order management > Rental orders > All rental orders. 2. In the list, find and select the desired record. Click the link in the selected row. 3. Expand the Rental order header section. 4. Use the shortcut for switching to View or Edit mode. 5.
