If the maintenance plan will be used for estimated consumption, fill in the following fields on the Consumption based tab:

- Use for estimated maintenance - enable to use maintenance plan in estimated maintenance calculation

- Estimated maintenance advance margin - number of days in advance the estimated maintenance can be triggered

Standard procedure

1.	Go to Business objects > Setup > Service and maintenance > Default maintenance plans.
2.	In the list, find and select the desired record.
3.	Expand the Consumption based section.
4.	Click Edit.
5.	Select Yes in the Use for estimated maintenance field.
6.	In the Estimated maintenance advance margin field, enter a number.
7.	Click Save.
