You can add tasks to a template to define the tasks that must be completed. Work order lines are generated from the tasks in the template.

You can add multiple tasks and set the sequence by using the up and down arrow buttons.

On each task line, you can:

  • Select an execution group to filter tasks on the plan board when assigning resources.
  • Set the resource quantity to define how many resources are required. A warning appears if the scheduled number is incorrect.
  • Select a default project category to define the cost or revenue type.


Standard procedure

1. Go to Work order project planning > Setup > Work order template.
2. In the list, find and select the desired record.
3. Expand the Tasks section.
4. Click Add (Multiple can be added).
5. In the list, mark the selected row.
6. In the Task ID field, enter or select a value.
7. In the Resource quantity field, enter a value. (Optional)
8. In the Execution group field, enter or select a value. (Optional)
9. In the Object group field, enter or select a value. (Optional)
10. In the Object sub group field, enter or select a value. (Optional)
11. In the Parent field, enter or select a value.
12. In the Default category field, enter or select a value.
13. Click Save.
