A technical exchange is needed when the rental object breaks down due to a reason not caused by the customer, such as a malfunction or required maintenance. You must replace it with a working equivalent object.
To perform a technical exchange:
Note: You cannot request a different item during a technical exchange.
| 1. | Go to Rental order management > Rental orders > All rental orders. |
| 2. | In the list, find and select the desired rental order. |
| 3. | Select the desired rental order line and click Rental. |
| 4. | Click Exchange item. |
| 5. | Select the Technical option. |
| 6. | In the Off-rent date/time field, enter a date and time. |

Note: Set the date and time to the date that the rental item will be exchanged. |
| 7. | In the Requested pickup date/time field, enter a date and time. |
| 8. | In the Contact field, enter or select a value. |
| 9. | In the Reason code field, enter or select a value. |
| 10. | Click OK. |
