To create a serialized business object, a released item is required with Auto asset set to Yes.
As a result, you can create the business object and the related fixed asset.
1. | Go to Product information management > Products > All products and product masters. |
2. | Sub-task: Create product. |
2.1 | Click New. |
2.2 | In the Product number field, type a value. |
2.3 | In the Product name field, type a value. |
2.4 | Click OK. |
2.5 | Click Dimension groups to open the drop dialog. |
2.6 | In the Storage dimension group field, enter or select a value. |
2.7 | In the Tracking dimension group field, enter or select a value. |
2.8 | Click OK. |
2.9 | In the Rental type field, enter or select a value. |
2.10 | Click Save. |
2.11 | Close the page. |
3. | Sub-task: Release product. |
3.1 | Click Release products. |
3.2 | Click Next. |
3.3 | In the list, find and select the desired record. |
3.4 | Click Next. |
3.5 | Click Finish. |
4. | Close the page. |
5. | Sub-task: Edit release product. |
5.1 | Go to Product information management > Products > Released products. |
5.2 | Open Item number column filter. |
5.3 | Enter a filter value of "coffee" on the "Item number" field using the "begins with" filter operator. |
5.4 | In the list, find and select the desired record. |
5.5 | In the list, click the link in the selected row. |
5.6 | Click Edit. |
5.7 | In the Item model group field, enter or select a value. |
5.8 | In the Item group field, enter or select a value. |
5.9 | Select Yes in the Auto convert asset sales field. |
5.10 | Select Yes in the Auto convert asset purchases field. |
5.11 | In the Default order line type field, select an option. |
5.12 | In the Fixed asset group field, enter or select a value. |
5.13 | Click Save. |
5.14 | Close the page. |
