Use BOM version to update the kanban job with the BOM associated with the To version.
Steps
Go to Product information management > Engineering change management > Engineering change orders.
Open a released ECO you want to review.
On the Action Pane, in the Business impact group, select Open impact workspace.
The workspace opens for the selected ECO.
Note
If the ECO has no lines yet, the button is unavailable. Add at least one affected product first.
In the Kanban jobs section, locate the affected kanban job.
Select BOM version.
The BOM version pane opens on the right.
Review the kanban ID, job status, item number, current BOM version, and quantity.
Review the target BOM version associated with the ECO.
Review the component comparison.
The comparison identifies components that were added, removed, or changed.
Review the component availability and any shortage warnings.
Select Confirm to update the BOM version.
To close the pane without applying the update, select Cancel.
After the update is complete:
The kanban job uses the target BOM version.
The Action status changes to BOM updated.
Material shortage
If the component availability check reveals a shortfall, the panel shows a warning but Confirm remains enabled. You can proceed and place a purchase order for the shortfall separately, or postpone the job instead.
