Set up preference manager

Set up these preferences in the PTC Windchill Preference manager:

• Enforce changes 

  • Defines whether Windchill ESI renderers throw an exception if they receive a remote call procedure request for an object that has not changed since it was last published. The files used in the integration to D365 F&SCM contain the complete new truth of a part and not just the last changes. Therefore, throwing an exception for the request of unchanged data is not required.

• Publish reference documents

  • Determines whether or not ESI services returns Reference documents information in the ESI response. This preference assumes significance only when documents are considered for publication. To be able to send the referenced document links to D365 F&SCM, enable this option.

Steps

1. Expand ESI > Settings > right-click Enforce Changes > click Set Preference.

2. Go to Navigator > Site> Utilities.

   

3. In the Business Administration section, click Preference Manager.

   

4. Expand ESI > Settings > right-click Enforce Changes > click Set Preference.

   

5. Set the value to No > click OK.

   

6. Expand ESI > Settings > Document > right-click Publish Reference Documents > click Set Preference.

   

7. Set the value to Yes > click OK.
