Use Reset to return a production order to an earlier status. For example, you can reset a released order to Estimated before updating its BOM or route.
Steps
Go to Product information management > Engineering change management > Engineering change orders.
Open a released ECO you want to review.
On the Action Pane, in the Business impact group, select Open impact workspace.
The workspace opens for the selected ECO.
Note
If the ECO has no lines yet, the button is unavailable. Add at least one affected product first.
In the Production orders section, select the affected production order.
Select Reset.
Review the current production status, item number, and quantity.
In Reset to status, select an earlier status.
Review the confirmation message.
Select Confirm to reset the production order status.
Select Cancel to close the pane without resetting the status.
After the reset:
The production order returns to the selected status
The available actions are reevaluated based on the new status
Update BOM and Update route become available if the order is reset to Estimated
Action status changes to Status reset.
Note
You can’t reset a production order while it’s on hold. Release the hold first.
Resetting a production order might delete transactions created by later status updates. Review the selected status and confirmation message before you continue.
