Use this section to automatically release engineering products, BOMs, and routes from the PLM system to operational companies in D365 F&SCM. This automation reduces manual effort, ensures consistency, and provides full traceability.

Prerequisites

Before you configure this feature, ensure that:

  • A PLM system integration is set up.

  • At least one Engineering Change Category exists with a release policy.

  • Required product attributes are available.

  • You have access to the ECM workspace and PLM Systems setup.

  • Staging journals and ECOs are available.

  • Operational companies are configured.

Active

Specifies whether product release automation is enabled.

  • Enabled (Yes): Product release automation runs automatically. Engineering products, BOMs, and routes are released from the PLM system to operational companies based on the defined setup.

  • Disabled (No): Product release automation is turned off. All releases must be performed manually, and no automated release processes are triggered.

Add engineering product category details

Adds a new engineering product category to the automation setup.

Remove engineering product category details

Removes the selected category from the automation setup.
