Block a sales order line - Impact workspace

Prev Next

Use the Block order action to prevent the affected sales order line from progressing while it's under review. For example, you might block a line while waiting for customer confirmation or an engineering decision.

Steps

  1. Go to Product information management > Engineering change management > Engineering change orders.

  2. Open a released ECO you want to review.

  3. On the Action Pane, in the Business impact group, select Open impact workspace.

The workspace opens for the selected ECO.

    Note

If the ECO has no lines yet, the button is unavailable. Add at least one affected product first.

  4. In the Sales orders section, locate the affected sales order line.

  5. Select Block order.

The Block order pane opens on the right.

  6. Review the sales order, line number, customer, item number, ordered quantity, and delivery date.

  7. In the Block reason list, select a reason.

Available reasons depend on your system configuration.

  8. Enter additional information in the Notes field, if needed.

  9. Select Confirm to block the line.

To close the pane without blocking the line, select Cancel.

After the line is blocked:

  • The Action status changes to Blocked.

  • The Block order action becomes unavailable for that line.
