Use project change orders to make changes to the work breakdown structure of an existing project.

Please note that to use the project change order function, the project must have originated as a project quotation using the Advanced WBS. Procedure 1. Go to Project management and accounting > Project change orders > All project change orders. 2. Click New. 3. In the Project ID field, enter or select a value. 4. Click OK. 5. Click Advanced WBS. 6. Click Select activities. 7. Select the Select check box. 8. Click Save & Close. Notes If you use a project change order to apply a price indexation to a project, make sure the whole WBS or the applicable subproject is selected and added to the project change order WBS. Make changes to work breakdown structure Make changes to work breakdown structure On a project change order work breakdown structure, you can: Add three types of lines: Project - You can only add projects to the root project line. Subproject - You can only add subprojects to project lines. You can add subprojects to both new and existing project lines. Task - You can add tasks to any line in the work breakdown structure. You can add tasks to both new and existing lines. Change the values of existing lines. For a line of task type: Project, you can only change the description. Standard, you can change almost all values. Stop existing tasks. For more detailed information, refer to Create a work breakdown structure. Procedure 1. Go to Project management and accounting > Project change orders > All project change orders. 2. In the list, click the link in the selected row. 3. Click Advanced WBS. 4. In the tree, expand 'the project structure as needed.'. 5. Click Edit. 6. In the list, find and select the desired record. 7. Edit the quantity as needed. 8. Click Task to enter a new task. 9. In the Activity template field, enter or select a value. 10. In the Task name field, type a value. 11. In the Category field, enter or select a value. 12. In the Cost code field, enter or select a value as needed. 13. In the Role ID field, enter or select a value. 14. In the Group field, enter or select a value. 15. In the Model ID field, enter or select a value. 16. In the Schedule unit field, enter or select a value. Notes If the project is created from a project execution quotation, you also create an activity in the project change order WBS. In this case, in the Project field, link the activity to the relevant (sub)project of the related project quotation WBS. If the project change order is confirmed, and a progress bill report is created, the activity is shown under the right project. Review project setup Review project setup On the project change order work breakdown structure, review the project setup for newly added (sub-)projects. If specific project setup is required, you can override the project setup as inherited from the root project line. Enter estimated costs and revenues Enter estimated costs and revenues For each task in the project change order work breakdown structure, you can change the estimated costs and revenue lines. You can also add new lines or remove existing lines. Each task in the work breakdown structure, with the Effort (hours) filled in, automatically results in an hour line in the estimated costs and revenue. On the Project Control Suite parameters, you can select the Create quotation lines from WBS check box. As a result, if you close the Work breakdown structure form, for each estimated costs and revenue line, a project quotation line is created automatically. In the list, mark the selected row. 5. In the Quantity field, enter a number. 6. Click New. 7. In the list, mark the selected row. 8. In the Project category field, enter or select a value. 9. In the Unit cost price (USD) field, enter a number. 10. In the list, find and select the desired record. 11. Click Run WBS Calculation. 12. Click Save. Notes On the Estimated costs and revenue tab, you can: Make changes to the existing estimated costs and revenue lines. As a result, the Change type is set to Changed. Add estimated costs and revenue lines. To do so, click Add line. As a result, the Change type is set to New. Delete estimated costs and revenue lines. To do so, click Remove. As a result, the Change type is set to Stopped. Undo changes that you made to an existing estimated costs and revenue line. To do so, select the line and click Restore. As a result, the Change type is reset to Unchanged. On the Project Control Suite parameters, you can select the Create quotation lines from WBS check box. As a result, if you close the Work breakdown structure form, for each estimated costs and revenue line, a project quotation line is created automatically.
