You can set up common reasons why an engineering item is changed. You can assign these reasons for change to a product on engineering change requests and engineering change orders.

Examples: Fault, Defect, Product improvement, Customer request.


Standard procedure

1. Go to Product engineering > Setup > Engineering change management > Change reason.
2. Click New.
3. In the Change reason field, type a value.
4. In the Description field, type a value.
5. Close the page.
