Set Anywhere for logistics app parameters for counting process

Set the parameters that define how to count or cycle count inventory with the Anywhere for logistics app.

Standard procedure

1.	Click Mobility management.
2.	Click App Parameters.
3.	Click the Logistics tab.
4.	Expand the Counting section.
5.	Select the default counting journal name to be used in the Anywhere for logistics app processes.
	In the Counting journal name field, enter or select a value.
	Note: If no journal name is selected, the first journal name of type Counting, as defined on the Inventory journal names page, is used.
6.	You can allow to use the unit from the scanned GTIN to count the items. On finishing the counting, the GTIN unit is converted to inventory unit in the ‘Counting’ process. Example: Items, with inventory unit pieces, are counted. These are physically stored in boxes, each with 10 pieces. On counting, you can scan the available boxes, say 10. On finish counting, the counted quantity is 100 pieces.
	Select Yes in the Use GTIN unit field.
7.	For GS1-128 type barcodes, the batch ID can be part of the barcode. If you scan a GS1-128 type barcode in the Counting process, you can have the batch ID entered automatically from the barcode. If 'No', the batch ID must be entered manually.
	Select Yes in the Get batch Id from GS1-128 barcode field.
8.	For GS1-128 type barcodes, the serial number can be part of the barcode. If you scan a GS1-128 type barcode in the Counting process, you can have the serial number entered automatically from the barcode. If 'No', the serial number must be entered manually.
	Select Yes in the Get serial Id from GS1-128 barcode field.
9.	Select the default cycle counting journal name to be used in the Anywhere for logistics app processes.
	In the Cycle counting journal name field, enter or select a value.
	Note: If no journal name is selected, the first journal name of type Counting, as defined on the Inventory journal names page, is used.
10.	You can allow to use the unit from the scanned GTIN to cycle count the items. On finishing the cycle counting, the GTIN unit is converted to inventory unit in the ‘Cycle counting’ process. Example: Items, with inventory unit pieces, are counted. These are physically stored in boxes, each with 10 pieces. On counting, you can scan the available boxes, say 10. On finish counting, the counted quantity is 100 pieces.
	Select Yes in the Use GTIN unit field.
11.	You can have the entered cycle count value compared with the physical inventory quantity on the journal line.
	Select Yes in the Use cycle counting deviation field.
12.	Set the default allowed deviation percentage for cycle counting. This percentage is applicable to both lower and higher quantities. If the deviation is more than this percentage, the user is asked whether to proceed with the entered quantity or not.
	In the Allowed cycle counting deviation (%) field, enter a number.
13.	You can have compared, for batch items, the entered value with the physical inventory quantity on the journal line, regardless of the batch. As a result, the physical inventory quantities for all batches of the same item are summarized. So, you can count these items and enter the counted quantity in one go. If not selected, the cycle count deviations are checked for each batch separately. So, you must count batch items separately for each batch as well.
	Select Yes in the Use cycle counting deviation for batches field.
14.	For GS1-128 type barcodes, the batch ID can be part of the barcode. If you scan a GS1-128 type barcode in the Cycle counting process, you can have the batch ID entered automatically from the barcode. If 'No', the batch ID must be entered manually.
	Select Yes in the Get batch Id from GS1-128 barcode field.
15.	For GS1-128 type barcodes, the serial number can be part of the barcode. If you scan a GS1-128 type barcode in the Cycle counting process, you can have the serial number entered automatically from the barcode. If 'No', the serial number must be entered manually.
	Select Yes in the Get serial Id from GS1-128 barcode field.
16.	Close the page.
