You can add a control of type Camera to a form. As a result, you can use the mobile device to take a picture or record a video and save it to Anywhere mobility studio.

If your company uses different types of mobile devices, controls can require a different layout for each device.

As a result, you can use the mobile device to take a picture or record a video. If it is OK, you can save it to Anywhere mobility studio.Both pictures and videos are saved to the Images tab on the Mobility sharing workspace. The files are saved in a fixed format:Pictures: PNGVideos: MP4If a form with a camera control is shown on a mobile device with several cameras, you can choose which camera to use. Procedure 1. Click Mobility design. 2. Click the Forms tab. 3. In the list, find and select the desired record. 4. Click Edit. 5. If you add a control, it is positioned before the selected control on the form. On the preview, select the desired control. Note: If the control list is shown instead of the preview, in the list, find and select the desired control. 6. On the Properties tab, click Add. 7. Click Camera. 8. Sub-task: Define control properties. 9. In the Control field, type the camera control name. Note: Only use letters and numbers, no spaces. 10. If you want to hide the camera control on the form, select No in the Visible field. 11. If the next control must be positioned on a new line, select Yes in the Append new line field. 12. You can define an image that is shown in the previews. In the Image field, enter or select a value. Note: On the Device/localized specific tab. for each mobile device, you can define the size of the picture as shown on the mobile device. 13. In the Capture type field, select an option. 14. In the Documentation section, write the camera control documentation. For example, describe the purpose and characteristics of the camera control. 15. To show the added control on the preview, on the Design tab, click Refresh. Notes To be able to use the camera on your mobile device for an Anywhere application, the HTTPS protocol is required. On the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, you must bind an SSL certificate for the website of your Anywhere portal. To do so, add a site binding and select the SSL certificate for the binding.In general, if you add a form control, it is positioned before the selected control on the form.Where the control is exactly positioned on the preview, also depends on:The Append new line property of the previous control and of the added control.The preview style sheet.You can use the Up and Down buttons on the Properties tab to move a form control to another position on the form.
